Cyber Security Engineer

Sam has 15 years of experience in electronic engineering since graduating with his MEng from the University of Warwick, initially working in process control and automation in industry and gaining a variety of on-site experience, before later moving into software engineering verifying embedded safety-critical systems. He achieved his MSc in Computing (Software Engineering) from the Open University in 2023 whilst working full-time and is a Professional Member of the BCS (MBCS), holding the professional registrations of Incorporated Engineer since 2018, Advanced RITTech since 2023 and European Engineer also since 2023. Sam started his part-time PhD in Cyber Security with Cardiff University’s School of Computer Science and Informatics in April 2024. His PhD involves investigating hardening techniques for industrial Ethernet networks connecting PLCs to field devices such as sensors and actuators.
